Hi Thom, If you can only buy one plug-in, I would suggest starting with Topaz Adjust. It is so versatile and you can learn how the Topaz interface works with Adjust. You'll soon find that you'll want to add other Topaz plug-ins, too. I ended buying the bundle because I was just adding individual plug-ins and it was so much more cost-effective if I was going to buy them anyways! Digital Photography School has a discount offer today for 20% any of the plug-ins and the bundle. When you order from the Topaz site, use the discount code: DPS12DAYS. Have fun!

Thank you for a great year of inspiration. Your examples have motivated me to get out there aswell as creating more interesting photogaphs.

My new T3i is working very well. Can you suggest what Topaz software I should strat with? I can't afford the entire bundle but would like to start somewere and build from there.
Wishing you a most healthy and peaceful New Year,
Thom

I have been following your daily pictures. It has inspired me to try and replicate some of your pictures. I am now ready to step up to an SLR camera and I have decided to purchase a Canon T3i. (I also looked at the NIkon d5100).
I think I would benefit from the 18-135 rather than the 18-55. I noticed that some of your pictures are in the 160 range. Also I though I would add a longer lens such as the 55-250 for shooting pictures of my grandkids during their games.
1. Is this a good combination?
2. When you go past 55mm do you use another lens?
3. Any advice will help

In closing, I am becoming a better photographer through looking at your photos...thank you

I LOVE your site. I am truly a novice. I have learned so much from looking and reading on your site. I like the fact that you are not afraid to try new things and not hesitate about telling us exactly how you took the picture (even software) and what did and did not work. Thanks for the encouragement.
