This must be water fowl week. I went for a walk in Institute Park in Worcester today and spotted this pair of ducks. That’s Mr. Duck with his nether parts in the air above.

With no snow, the New England landscape looks bland, but there is still color to be found. In this photo, not on Golden Pond – but on the small pond behind the Auburn Library.

Steve noticed that the photo was not quite level – and he was right! Here is the corrected photo – it makes a difference:

These birds were lunching at Jake’s Seafood yesterday when we were. We ate fish and chips, but they stuck with healthy grains.

I think they are a pair of house finches (above) and a chickadee (below), but I’m not a bird expert by any means. Can anyone confirm their identity?
